We are seeking a Side loader Forklift or a Combilift Operator to join the Receiving Department in our plant located in Edmonton, AB. The Side loader (Combilift) Forklift Operator is expected to have knowledge of the safe operation of a Side loader forklift or a Combilift.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Operating a Side Loader forklift or a Combilift
  • Filling out all checklists and paperwork completely and accurately in a timely manner
  • Ensuring team keeps work area free from clutter, and recycling waste as required on a daily basis
  • Reporting all activities and hazards that may create an unsafe work environment
  • Others duties as required

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • 2+ year's experience in operating a Side loader forklift or Combilift
  • Valid Combilift operator's license or certification
  • Window and door or Warehouse experience is an asset
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to absorb and retain information quickly
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks, in a high-pressure environment
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Be proficient in communicating in English with others

Working Conditions

  • Physically able to lift between 0 lbs to 50lbs.
  • Work primarily in a production facility. The plant environment can be dusty and noisy.
  • Move around the plant, maneuver product, and gather information.
  • Doors are frequently open, causing drafts and interior temperature changes.
  • Floors in work area may be slippery during wet weather conditions, have cracks and be uneven.
  • Tools, supplies and chemicals may contain hazardous materials and emit unpleasant odors.
